A warm welcome to St. Bernardine’s new pastor, Father Stanley Kuca. At Sunday Mass, the parishioners were quite impressed with Father Kuca, especially his sense of humor. Best wishes for a long happy stay here in Forest Park.
A few weeks ago, Olivia Schauer’s picture appeared here as she danced with her Hickory Hills dancing class in Disneyland. All the girls had a lot of fun, all but one. When the thermometer reached 98 degrees, one of the older girls collapsed. Not to worry, she’s fine now.
Get well wishes to Jimmy Cavanaugh who is resting up and getting better at Hines. The Short Stop just isn’t the same without Jimmy Cavanaugh.
Forest Park was well represented at the Grateful Dead concert last weekend. Several friends of Christina Respass made it in for the event. Everyone was a bit disappointed that Jerry Garcia didn’t make it. There was a rumor that he would be back from the dead for the Dead, just one more time. Not shown in the photo is Christina herself. If you missed the concert, there’s always Lollapalooza to look forward to. (I am so thankful I was young long ago.)
