The Friends of the Forest Park Public Library will be delighted to learn that our beloved Zeno Jacquat was in town briefly last week. He’d been to see his doctor and drove around town a bit before returning to his present home. Georgette and their son, Milan, were with Zeno. We love you, Zeno. We miss you.

Al Bucholz and his wife Marge will be celebrating anniversary number 67 on Sept. 25. Since Al’s 94th birthday is coming, he got to wondering about just how many people, his age or older, are still living in town. We know Lorraine Boy is well past 100, May Bill will be 95 soon, Joe Gianelli is 90 (I think). If you have a big birthday coming, please let us know here at The Review, or call me at home and leave a message, 708-366-4685. Nineties and centenarians, no 80s, please. You’re too young!

A grateful salute to Hope Simon who is keeping me up to date on birthdays. Unfortunately, Hope had a hip fracture and wasn’t able to help me out for a while. Apologies to the families of those whose birthdays I mentioned who are no longer with us. Incidentally, Hope’s happy birthday was July 29.

If you want your kid to be musical, send him to a Lutheran School. St. John Choristers, conducted by director Paul Lindblad, will present a fall concert, “Hooray for Hollywood,” on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 4 p.m. This concert is open to the public and admission is free! It will feature the Mass in C by Antonio Lotti, followed by a staged performance of “Hooray for Hollywood,” an energetic medley of musical favorites from the movies.

If you are interested in having your child study music with Mr. Lindblad, you are invited to call 847-429-9200 or PLindbladC@comcast.net.

Happy birthday to Patti Mullin, Sarah Goetz, Lois Bugajsky, Tim Scheiwe, Jamie Carr, Sheila O’Shea, Dan Novak, Eric Battersay, Hannah Scollard, Connor Hoehne, Rico Daylo, Marc Neumann, Varonica Barajos, Jodi Giblin, Mariann Fabbrini, Larry Steinbach, Erin Von Kannon, Todd Bower, Toni Terrana, Amanda Koehne, Michael Clifton, John Michael Deering, Aaron Bakartis, Todd Marler, Christine Carr, Joe Carr, Clayton Davis, Kirk Scully, John Erickson, and Karen Conway Kurey
