The Forest Park Middle School’s Panther Parent Night was held this past Wednesday, September 23rd, 2015 at 6:30. Parents filtered into the cafetorium, chatted with the teachers and were welcomed by the new principal Mr. Joe Pisano and assistant princial Ms. Tinisa Huff. The audience was then treated to a video introduction of the staff coordinated by Ms. Carrier, the music teacher, and Mr. Thesen, the Computer teacher.

Mr. Pisano then introduce Mr. Jeff Bates, the manager of our local Ultra Foods right here in Forest Park. Mr. Bates talked about how, when he was hired on as manager, one of his goals was to connect more with the community of Forest Park. One of the ways in which he wanted to do so was to reach out to the schools. Many of our families shop and work in his store and he wanted to give back a little. Therefore, he and two of his associates, gave Mr. Pisano and Ms. Huff a donation of $500 with no strings attached. The school is free to use the money as it sees fit to most benefit the students.

Then, much to the crowd’s delight, Mr. Bates threw out t-shirts and hats. The kids were thrilled. We are looking forward to forging a wonderful relationship with Ultra Foods and with other businesses here in Forest Park. We’re also looking forward to seeing what plans Mr. Pisano and Ms. Huff have for our new windfall.
