Dennis Patrick Ryan Sr., 90, of Forest Park, died on Oct. 10, 2015. Born on July 10, 1925, in Granville, Illinois, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II, and worked for the U.S. Postal Service. An active member of the Forest Park Senior Center, he was an avid sports fan and is still likely rooting for the White Sox and the Bears. He is missed by his family and friends but is always present in their hearts.
Dennis Ryan lost his wife, Sylvia, in 1969. He was the father of six, Dennis Jr., Daniel, Diane, Deborah, Donna and Della; the grandfather of 13 and the great-grandfather of two. He is also survived by his two brothers, Charles and Kenneth and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Oct. 13 at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home in Forest Park, followed by a funeral service.
