E.C. Diskin’s latest mystery, BROKEN GRACE which launched on August 25, spent its opening month at the top of Amazon’s “Hot New Release” chart and remained at the top of several of Amazon’s bestseller categories for nearly two months. As a more classic mystery, the story is a departure from her successful debut, THE GREEN LINE (a legal thriller), but the story continues to please readers with its dark tense atmosphere and breakneck pace.

Advance and early reviews have been glowing. Rick Kogan has interviewed Diskin twice now for his WGN radio program and called her “an exciting new voice on the literary landscape.” Windy City Reviews remarked: “The tension never relents in this five star page turner.” Critically acclaimed author, Peter Ferry (Old Heart and Travel Writing), called her the best and brightest new mystery writer to come along in a long time.” Maura Lynch, a New York book blogger, whose review reached more than 200,000 twitter followers, wrote: “E.C. Diskin’s first title, THE GREEN LINE, originally an indie published book caught the attention of Amazon’s thriller and mystery publisher, Thomas & Mercer after a summer of swift sales and glowing reviews. After signing with T & M, the book found international success, landing at the top of several of Amazon’s bestselling lists in the U.S., U.K., Australia, and Germany. A German translation was published in January, 2015.

Diskin spent several years in legal practice in Chicago before her focus turned to home, family, and the fantasy of writing novels in 2004. She visited dozens of book clubs while promoting THE GREEN LINE and is currently meeting with readers throughout the area while promoting BROKEN GRACE.
