William Edwin “Bill” Schloman, 90, died peacefully with his family at his side at Oak Park Place in Madison, Wisconsin on Dec. 14, 2015. Born on June 18, 1925 in Forest Park to Walter and Mabel (Ahrendt) Schloman, he married his high school sweetheart, Margaret Shaw, on Aug. 23, 1947 at St. John Lutheran Church. 

A veteran of World War II, he retired from his position as Forest Park postmaster, enjoyed fishing, golfing, the Cubs, and spending time with his family. 

Bill Schloman is survived by his wife, Margaret M. “Peg” Schloman; his daughters, Nancy (James) Spitzack and Susan (John) Schroeder Poynette; his grandchildren, Sarah (Scott) Gustafson, Melanie (Carl) Vess, Jennifer (Jeff) Davidson, Laura (Nick) Jasurda, Amy Henke, and Christine (Joseph) Lapacek; nine great-grandchildren; and his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Audrey Toopes; and his grandson-in-law, Sam Henke. 

A funeral service was held on Dec. 21 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, W6906 Country Road K, Arlington, Wisconsin 53911.
