For the last three weeks the Destination Imagination Team at the Forest Park Middle School has been encoraging teachers and students alike to empty the change out of their pockets and give to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. In a friendly competition between the homerooms with a pizza lunch on the line, students stepped up.
Destination Imagination raised $419.00. The homerooms that raised the most money all received a pizza lunch for a prize last week Friday. The winning 6th grade homeroom was Mr. Thesen’s. The winning 7th grade homeroom was Mr. Drent’s and Mr. Hopper had the top 8th grade homeroom. All the proceeds of the fundraiser will go to purchase bottled water for the residents of Flint, Michigan.
