Unity Day was celebrated at Field-Stevenson School on Wednesday, October 19th.  Mrs. Uhlman’s class won a special award for having 100 percent of her students wearing orange.  During the day, tudents took time to discuss what unity means to each of them, their school, and their community and how it relates to preventing bullying and creating a safer school.  Students were asked to think about what bullying is, how to support someone who is being bullied and what can you do to help change the environment and foster kindness and inclusion.  They then created a leaf with a special message that will go on a Unity Tree displayed in the front entrance.
