The Garfield Kindergarten classes took their first field trip this week. They went to Cosley Zoo in Wheaton. What was supposed to be an outdoor trip quickly became an indoor one due to the rainy weather. The students learned about chickens, skunks and lizards. They were able to pet a chicken & a toothless lizard and feel the soft pelt of a skunk. Each child left with a gord and a mini pumpkin to bring home. The weather surely did not ruin this field trip, a great time was had by all!
