Jamera Thurman, former student of FPMS class of 2008, came by this week to say hello to her past teachers. Ms. Thurman is stationed in Colorado and is recruiting at North Riverside mall for the next two weeks. She talked to our students about how she enrolled to help with the cost of college so it would not be a burden on her family. She explained how being in the service is a different way to further her education past high school. Lastly, she explained how it is important to her to show others how they can support the nation.
The students were very receptive to Jamera’s visit and asked quite a few questions. We wish Jamera the best of luck and thank her for her service to our country.
