Barbara June Marousek (nee McCarrell), 85, died on March 12, 2017. Born on March 2, 1932, she was the past and current president of the local and district VFW Auxiliary and a devoted member of Forest Park’s First United Church of Christ.
Barbara was the wife of the late Delwyn who retired as chief of the Forest Park Fire Department; the mother of Eileen (John) Pennington, Gary (Karin), Linda (Paul) Kuhn, Craig (Tina), Gail (Greg) Kuzel and Thomas (Michele) Marousek; the grandmother of 11; great-grandmother of 12; sister of Donald (Ann) McCarrell and the late Patricia (Warren) Benson, and sister-in-law of George (the late Ann) Marousek and the late Alice (the late George) Lubinski.
Visitation was held on March 17 with a memorial service on March 18 at Hursen Funeral Home & Crematory, followed by interment at Oakridge Cemetery.
