Mrs. Schriener’s 3rd graders passionately wrote rough draft letters to the President that explained why the environment is important to them. The third grade students have been studying various biomes in science including the tundra, desert, and rain forest regions. While studying these biomes, they have also learned how global warming is affecting these areas.
In honor of Earth Day this month, third grade has been working on letters to President Trump. The point of our letters is to ask the President not to roll back restrictions that have been placed on businesses. We want President Trump to think about the future of our environment. The letters will be mailed to the president along with a copy of the Dr. Suess book, The Lorax.
President Trump has a team of people who read his mail each day. Ten of the best letters are chosen to be placed on his desk to read. We hope that some of our letters will reach the Commander in Chief.
