Caroline Duarte (nee Presto), 93, died on Aug. 11, 2017 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home with loving family by her side. She loved her friends at the Forest Park Community Center as well as her bird houses, teddy bears, and gambling.
Caroline is survived by her daughter, Mary Duarte; her grandchildren, Eric and Gayle Pietrazk; her “adopted daughter,” Edna Barrameda; her “sister,” Alice Barrameda; her family friend, Danielle; and her many Forest Park friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St. in Joliet, followed by interment at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
