Lawrence R. (Larry) Huebner, Sr., 71, of Genoa, IL formerly of Forest Park, IL. died Feb. 3, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 6, 1946 in Oak Park.
He leaves his loving wife, Mary (nee, Colston); devoted sons, L.J. Huebner and Adam Ritter; his grandson, David; beloved brother of Ken Huebner (Randy); one daughter-in-law, Heather Huebner; sisters-in-law, Betty and Sandy Huebner and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dave Huebner and two brothers, Don and Tom Huebner.
He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force, who served in Thailand during the Vietnam Era.
Larry was a resident of Genoa, Forest Park and Round Lake, IL. His career centered around manufacturing. He was a supervisor for Milk Specialties in Huntley and ChemTool in Crystal Lake. His favorite job was being a Crossing Guard for the Genoa Police Department. Larry was a passionate animal lover. Daddy to G.G. Good Girl Socks and the late Duchess.
During his lifetime, he only made friends and not enemies. The man was loved by many and his familiar smile will be missed terribly.
