Chicago Magazine recently included two Forest Park restaurants in its “2018 Chicago’s Best Takeout” list, which names 43 restaurants that deliver great food in tip-top shape.
Yum Thai, 7748 Madison St., and Scratch Kitchen & Lounge, 7445 W. Madison St., joined the 41 other Chicago and suburban restaurants the city magazine listed as delicious restaurants that deliver. Forest Park tied Evanston for the suburb most listed.
Scratch “is more than just a burger joint,” the magazine reads, recommending that diners order Scratch’s caprese sandwich, macaroni and cheese, Three Little Pigs burger, and more.
Yum Thai’s “curries may as well have been invented to be delivered, since the flavors of a good one meld and deepen if the dish rests for a spell — say, in the back seat of a car,” Chicago wrote, recommending the kaeng par curry, stir-fried curried catfish and spicy basil chicken to-go.
Both restaurants offer delivery through DoorDash, Grubhub and Seamless. Additionally, hungry diners can order Yum Thai to-go through EatStreet.
