The South Forest Park PTO hosted the annual Spring Fling Carnival at Field Stevenson last Friday night. We had several fun Chicago-themed rooms, including a cookie walk, Chi-spy, Chicago Bingo, a Chicago native bird craft and a raucous dance party led by DJ Ry Guy. 

These nights are not possible without the outstanding volunteers in our PTO, teacher support, principals Mr. Milnamow and Dr. Brunson, and the well over 100 families who came out for a night of uncomplicated fun. 

Special thank you to Superintendent Louis Cavallo, and board members Shannon Wood and Kyra Tyler for joining us. 

We are overwhelmingly grateful to have so many businesses in the area who provided donations to fill our prize baskets, including Barclay’s American Grille, Café DeLuca, Ed’s Way, Fantastic Sam’s, Ferrara Pan Candy, Forest Park National Bank & Trust, Geo’s Automotive, Golden Steer Steakhouse, Illinois Railway Museum, Junction Diner, Kay’s Bakery, Mohr Oil, O’Sullivan’s Public House, Park District of Forest Park, Pumpkin Moon, Shanahan’s, Spotless Auto Wash, Starship Subs and Tri-Star Gymnastics. 

The readiness to step in with acts of kindness and generosity from all over our local community really is appreciated.
