The Kiwanis Club of Forest Park started it 95th Anniversary Celebration with a birthday cake at its April 24 Meeting at Francesca Fiore’s.

Among those present to cut the cake were club members Jordan Kuehn, Jerry Lordan, Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Deb Paliferro, and Steve Knysch.

The Forest Park Club received its charter from Kiwanis International on April 26, 1923 at a community banquet in the former Roos Building.

Kiwanis is an international organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the quality of life one community and one child at a time.                                                        

The Forest Park Club provides financial support to Youth Soccer, Youth Baseball, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Juvenile Literacy, and Adolescent Leadership Training, 

The Club will continue its anniversary celebration at its Annual Spaghetti Dinner on May 12 at the Community Center, a picnic at the new Roos Recreation Center on June 10, its Annual Peanut Day Drive in September, and its Annual Ed O’Shea Dinner in October.
