Garfield & Grant–White Elementary School in District 91 held their annual McTeacher’s Night on Thursday, May 3rd at the newly remodeled Forest Park McDonald’s on Des Plaines Avenue.

A McTeacher’s Night is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers and staff work at McDonald’s and then giving a percentage of the night’s sales back to the local school.

What a perfect night for a Fundraising event. The Teacher’s and staff were happy to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families and raise some money for Garfield & Grant-White Elementary Schools.

Several teachers and staff worked at the McTeacher’s night, jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, clearing tables, and making refreshing ice cream treats.

A Special thank you goes to Northside PTC member Sue Harvey, who organized the event as well as everyone who volunteered and worked so hard to make this event a successful one for Garfield & Grant – White Elementary Schools.

Garfield & Grant – White Elementary Schools plan to put the money raised into their general funds account to help pay for things like teacher meals during conferences as well as other needs as they see fit for both schools.
