Kiwanis Annual Spaghetti Dinner
Celebrate 95 years of Kiwanis at the organization’s annual spaghetti dinner. Salad, spaghetti, bread and dessert are included with tickets, and wine is available. The group will provide additional information about fundraisers that benefit the club and other organizations in the community. Tickets are $9.50 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for children aged 5 through 12. Contact Chris Harris at KiwanisClubFP@gmail.com for more information. Greener Cleaners
Anna Stange demonstrates the making and use of non-toxic cleaners. Participants will leave with samples of cleaners made during the workshop including spray disinfectant, high efficiency laundry soap, spray cleaner and dishwasher soap. Workshop starts at 7 p.m. on May 15 at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd.
Clean Up, Paint Up, Fix Up
From May 21 to May 26, dispose of all your unwanted household items for free from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Forest Park Public Works, 7343 15th St. Items they will take include lightbulbs, tires, TVs and more. Must show proof for Forest Park residency. Call 708-366-4876 for details.
4th annual Germanfest
Forest Park’s fourth annual Germanfest will be held the weekend of June 8 outside the Altenheim Picnic Grove, 7824 Madison St. Enjoy live music and entertainment, authentic German food and beer, games for kids and booths featuring items by local vendors.
