As the representatives of Forest Park public works employees, we take pride in keeping our Village running and keeping it beautiful. Just like any other municipality, we need revenue to operate, which is why we are urging a No vote on prohibiting video gaming this November.

In less than two years, video gaming has brought in more than $300,000 to the Village, money that pays for important programs that residents value. The revenue brought in from outside sources like video gaming is crucial in providing a fair wage to working families in Forest Park. Prohibiting video gaming would only lead to that revenue going over to other villages while we are left to deal with a budget deficit.

Without needed revenue, Forest Park will have no choice but to make painful cuts to popular services and, even worse, lay off hard working employees. Video gaming has had no negative impact on Forest Park in the last two years, but prohibition will have immediate negative impacts on day one.

Support working families and support Forest Park by voting No on prohibition of Video Gaming.
