The Kiwanis Club of Forest Park announces the initiation of an Andy Collis Award Program. This Program will present scholarships to Forest Park residents who are matriculating from senior high school to college in the Autumn. Among other factors to be considered, applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic potential, Forest Park residency, and a commitment to community service. Andy Collis was a Golden Kiwanian. He had been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Forest Park for over 50 years. Andy may be best known in Forest Park for the many years he drove a school bus for District 91. The Program Fund has received an initial contribution from Lynn and Marty Sorice. The Sorice family has generously pledged to donate $6,000 a year for the next four years. Other community members, businesses, organizations, clubs, and groups are encouraged to join the Sorice Family in its financial support of this Program. Donations made payable to the Foundation of the Kiwanis Club of Forest Park can be sent to the Post Office Box 514, Forest Park, IL, 60130. The Foundation, a 501c3 organization, will be the fiscal agent for the Program.
