New Year’s Eve Gala Extravaganza

Knitting With Friends
Join the Forest Park Public Library in knitting warm clothes for the winter. Beginning and advanced knitters welcome. Supplies limited. If you bring your own yarn with your own needles, please make it washable yarn. Fun runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 at 7555 Jackson Blvd.

Oak Park Area Arts Council Show
View the work of Mary Jo O’Hearn, whose compositions blend abstract with figurative. She uses acrylic with charcoal, sometimes with collage. Drop in Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Forest Park National Bank, 7348 W. Madison St.
