As a lifelong resident, I am seeking re-election to serve the community that raised me. I pledge to be your voice for Forest Park: past, present and future. Our village will see a natural culture shift in welcoming a new mayor. Change is good as long as it is done with an understanding of our Village history. I look forward to the opportunity to manage, produce, provide, and positively impact my hometown. With a 20-year career in municipal government I bring the experience to drive Forest Park forward whether it be navigating our financial deficit, the development of the Althenheim property, or ensuring the safety and wellness of our residents by providing a high level of core services.
The last four years serving as Village Commissioner has provided me invaluable experience and insight. The Forest Park Review endorsement bestowed on my campaign cites my solid understanding of village operations, as well as deep ties to the community. “He is clearly invested in Forest Park’s future” stated the Review. This is the truth. I enjoy making a difference and serving others. I am a proponent of positive change and innovation. I believe we need to look for ways to do things better and smarter so we can grow, adapt and strive for sustainability.
Our village needs to be a place where residents of all ages and business owners are engaged and satisfied. The council needs to create an environment where community input is always welcome and community/stakeholder education is continuous. I want to make sure we are committed to residents of all ages. Hopefully many of our youngest residents will be in my shoes someday, raising their families here and seeking to affect positive change for the Village of Forest Park.
I take this responsibility and the future of our Village very seriously and encourage you to vote for Daniel Novak for Village Commissioner on April 2, 2019.
Daniel J. Novak
Incumbent Forest Park Village Commissioner candidate
