 Senior Exercise Class

Calling all seniors! Join the Senior Citizen Club at the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd., for senior exercise classes on Friday, Jan. 17 from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m. and on Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. Call the Community Center at 708-771-7737 for more information.

 

Drinks & Dialogue

Join the League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest on Jan. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. for a discussion about issues facing unrepresented litigants in court. Tanya Pietrkowski, Director of Development of Coordinated Advice and Referral Program for Legal Services and the Honorable Catherine Schneider will be the speakers. Shanahan’s, 7353 Madison St. 

 

Friday Night Movie Night

Parents can drop their kids in grades K through 4 off at the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 W. Harrison St., Building 4, on Jan. 17 from 6:15 to 8 p.m. A kid-friendly movie will be shown, and pizza or hot dogs will be served, with popcorn during the show. The cost is $5 per child. 

 

Grownup Game Night

Spend an evening with the Forest Park Public Library, playing a variety of board and card games, including Exploding Kittens, Scrabble, and others. Feel free to bring a game to play! This event will be held at the Park District of Forest Park’s Building 4, which is right behind the tennis courts at 7501 W. Harrison Street. Monday, Jan. 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

 

Super Smash Bros. 21st Anniversary

Teens are invited to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Super Smash Brothers with open gaming, snacks and Nintento trivia in the teen room at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd., on Tuesday, Jan. 21 from 4 to 5 p.m. Feel free to dress in Nintendo gear! 

 

Mystery Discussion Group

Join leader Diana Di Stefano at Century & Sleuth’s Mystery Discussion Group to talk about “Archie Meets Nero Wolfe” by Robert Goldsborough. Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at 7419 Madison St.
