In 2002, Bears legend Dan Hampton was in Trage Brothers Appliance store, 7440 Madison (present day Grand Appliance) signing autographs. Hampton, retired Hall of Fame American Football defensive tackle, played twelve seasons for the Chicago Bears before he retired in 1990. His nickname was “Danimal” and he was known for his dedication and ferocious style of play.
