A curfew in Forest Park will be in effect from 8 p.m. June 1 through 6 a.m. June 2.

Village Administrator Tim Gillian said that with looting-related activity occurring in Maywood and Chicago today, the village has decided residents should stay off the street overnight.

Additionally, restaurants are asked to bring tables and chairs indoors and close by 8 p.m. on June 1.

Forest Park Bank closing early

In response to the curfew announcement, Forest Park Bank, 7348 Madison St., has changed its closing time from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on June 1 to allow bank employees enough time to close and return to their homes in advance of the curfew. The Roosevelt Road facility of Forest Park Bank will remain closed all day on June 1.
