Forest Park announced around 6 p.m. on June 1 that the village is monitoring activity in North Riverside and Berwyn, which have both taken precautionary measures for “a possible second wave of looting and vandalism.”

North Riverside’s curfew today, June 1, began at 3 p.m. and Berwyn’s at 6 p.m. Traffic on Cermak Road and Roosevelt Road have been rerouted in some areas.

In Forest Park, Famous Liquors, 7714 Madison St., Cardinal Wine and Spirits, 7533 Roosevelt Road, and Forest Park Auto, 7535 Roosevelt Rd. have boarded up their windows and closed early as a precautionary measure, but no looting has happened at any of these locations.

Forest Park’s curfew, said the memo from the village, is still in effect from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. on June 2, “but it may be prudent to cease outdoor activities even sooner.”
