The Calcagno’s Dr. Pepper “ghost” sign at 427 Desplaines Ave. was one of the points of interest on the 2001 walking tour hosted by the Main Street Redevelopment Association. This self guided tour highlighted 14 buildings near or around Madison Street, including terracotta ornamentation and craftsmanship of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
