Mayor Rory Hoskins, who tested positive for COVID-19 last week after developing symptoms about 10 days ago, said he is recovering and planning to return to village hall this week.
Since Nov. 9, the clerk’s office in village hall has been closed to in-person service after an employee tested positive for COVID-19. Several others were also tested, and multiple employees were diagnosed with the virus, leaving the clerk’s office severely short-staffed. But some employees are returning to work this week.
On Nov. 17, Hoskins said he’s talked to staff, and they’re putting together a plan to reopen in-person service at the walk-up window in village hall.
“The most important thing is to make sure that the workplace is safe,” Hoskins said.
Phone and online services continue to be available at village hall, and the zoning/building department and police station, accessible through village hall, both remain open. Visit forestpark.net or call 708-366-2323 for assistance.
