While Parichy Stadium, at Harrison and Harlem (now the area of the parking lot of Ferrara Pan) was known as the home to the Bloomer girls baseball team but on Friday and Saturday nights in the 1950s, they attracted crowds for outdoor wrestling matches.Some of the big name wrestlers were Tony “Argentine” Rocca, Buddy “Natureboy” Rogers, Gene “Mr. America” Stanlee, Tony “two-ton” Galento, “Farmer” Dan Marlin, Benito “Bounicng-Ball” Gardini, Ali Pasha  (who used his beard to rub in the eyes of his opponents), Mickey Gold,  Rudy “Body Slam” Kay and champion Lou Theze.
