A lifelong Forest Parker

Daniel Russell Good, 67, of Newport, Tennessee, died on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 at home. He was a lifelong Forest Park resident, and his father Lew was a former Forest Park chief of police. Although the last few years of his life were spent in Tennessee near his sister, nephews, daughter and son-in-law, he always considered Forest Park home, and could frequently be seen walking Madison Street to visit Louie’s Grill and Parky’s, two of his favorite spots. He worked at Duro-Test in Elk Grove Village, and then Target in Melrose Park, until his retirement, and made lifelong friends at both companies.

Danny was a devoted father who loved spending time with his children, playing with his two chihuahuas, and watching the Bears and Blackhawks. He also enjoyed fishing, was an avid model train and toy collector, and recently began restoration on a 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 — a longtime dream of his.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lew and Virginia Good, and his sister, Karen Good.

Survivors include his children, Russell (Megan) Good, Amanda (George Conkin) Good and Rebekah (Mauricio Polanco) Good; his sisters, Jinny Demilio, Sharon Good, and his brother, Timothy Good. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will host a Celebration of Life after Daniel is interred at Mt. Emblem Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements were handled by Costner-Maloy & Brown Funeral Home.
