Trolls and Letters and Newspapers, Oh My!

Well, that was humiliating.

I wonder if our neighbors to the east and north are so dumbfounded at our public ignorance, poor behavior, insane behavior, craven electeds, and dark site electeds that they will choose anywhere but our charming village for their St. Patrick's Day festivities.

We were descended upon by nuts, trolls and cheaters – and that's just the electeds. An army of public employees, partners and minions posted ad nauseum from the Cheat Sheet for Dummies as self-appointed truth tellers, not ready for prime time attorneys, dubious bible experts, soul inspectors, race conspirators, ranters, preachers, babblers – while completely misplacing the good sense God gave them. Incredibly, much of the invasion was recorded:

A Proviso/Leyden third rail was stepped on this week, and it wasn't about the owners' deep commitment to ex-offenders, if you know what I mean, and I think you do.©  It might not really be about Welch, who could be a "perceived as real" irritating fly in their ointment - right out of the box. Down low is always the preferred MO for the owners, if not their monkeys.

Jeez, why didn't Welch just send a letter to Everyone on his new taxpayer funded stationary? That's what our leader does it when his argument gets poopoo'd by his constituents.

Forest Park has no high school, no sewer system, no plan for a sewer system, no proper leadership, and, apparently, no class or moral compass. Our leaders partner and mimic the vast wasteland of Proviso Township, mining for personal nuggets. They, apparently, will do anything to get the ruby slippers.

Forest Park is a documented destination for unattached Youngs and limited Olds (CMAP Report – check it out, as it is the basis for our new comprehensive plan:

After this vicious display of ubi est mea, I'm guessing onlookers won't be eager to add to the proportion of families here, as Forest Park seems too mean and too desperate a place to bring children and other sensitive creatures. After this week, I doubt there are many locals proud to call Forest Park their home.

It does not have to be this way. Most Forest Parkers do not want the Wicked Witch as our guiding light and we loath the Flying Monkeys. Hell, we'd probably settle for a Failed Wizard but we don't even have that.

The Landmark, another publication of the stellar WJ Inc family has a regular blogger who is just about as koo koo as the person writing this blog, over there

Well, darn, Jan. That was almost nearly coherent! Congrats to you, girl! Keep trying. You just might make something approaching sense some bright day. Maybe.

Sharon Daly, you need to hightail it over to the Middle School and sit in on a beginners writing class. This blog makes absolutely no sense. You're embarrassing yourself.

Sharon, Your opinion is just that your opinion. Does it mean you are right? No. It is your opinion. So the Forest Park Review gives you free space to write smack about our mayor and elected officials. If you were to write about something else you would probably lose your job, yep you know it and we know it. Thank goodness Marty did not win, what would you do? Do you really get PAID for this? Subscriptions low? You are not doing them any favors with your antics. Bye FPR!

@ Jan. Yes, this is my blog but please note it is interactive. In theory, you could write a long rebuttal to anything I write and then it becomes your blog, too. I strongly prefer blogging to column writing for this reason, and the fact that we're all talking in real time. Forest Park is kind and lovely, until discussion turns to anything village hall ?" and then holy hell breaks loose and we are kind and lovely no more. Why is that? I argue that the main job of a leader is to hold the community together in the midst of differences. You write, "some people don't see through your eyes?can you understand that?" I do understand that, but our leader appears not to and instead wages personal wars on folks who hold those differences. I am not the divider, I'm the noticer.

Jan, just an FYI to you. The people do not elect The President; electoral college does.

Prove you wrong?? This is your pond. It's Gov Quinn's state because the majority of the people voted him in. Rahm, again the people voted him in, Obama again the majority of the people voted him in. See,,, some people don't see through your eyes..can you understand that? That is why you swim in the small pond.

from Some choice quotes: Churchill -- "I am always in favor of the free press but sometimes they say quite nasty things." JFK -- "...the abrasive quality of the press applied to you daily, to an administration, even though we never like it, and even though we wish they didn't write it, and even though we disapprove, there isn't any doubt that we could not do the job at all in a free society without a very, very active press."

Jan, you are confusing/conflating the Village of Forest Park w/come-and-go electeds. Is Rahm Emmanuel the City of Chicago? Is Gov Quinn the State of Illinois? Maybe in their own minds but, no, they are not. I certainly don't have all the answers, but I do expect our electeds to identify problems and work to resolve them ?" and if they don't think that is their job, we need new electeds. All I've seen for 4-5 years is a council that votes to allow staff to pay the bills, motions and seconds Kiwanis' Peanut Day and fights, to the death, for some Big Dog title. They spend 95% of their time on 'to the death' Big Dog activities ?" you know, wanking. Prove me wrong.

Sharon Daly, I can't believe how you are always trashing Forest Park. The people that read this realize that you don't like the Mayor or the other can the Forest Park Review pay you (do they pay you?) to trash the people the public voted for. Your a big fish in your little pond the Forest Park Review, but your a little fish in Forest Park. Is there anything you like about the town you live in? Are you going to run for mayor or commissioner... you seem to have all the answers.

I thought Dan Haley's strategy was brilliant. Placing his comments in the paper that covers River Forest, thereby showing the River Foresters what a bunch of nasty clowns the Emanuel "Chris" Welch supporter(s) are. What a bunch of chumps, they fell for it hook, line and sinker. Ha!
