What's better than shopping locally to score the perfect gift to wow even the most difficult-to-shop-for person on your list? Funding a local nonprofit with your purchase!

Through the end of the year, Refind Home (7511 Madison Street in Forest Park) is donating a portion of their sales to four local nonprofits: MOMENTA, New Moms, Inc., Seven Generations Ahead, and Opportunity Knocks. By mentioning one of their names at checkout (in store or on, Refind Home will donate 10 percent of your purchase to the organization you select.

Investing in the community is one of the things that makes Refind Home different; all of their products are made in America, much of it right here in Chicagoland. "We wanted to find a creative way to make our customers' shopping more meaningful this holiday season. With our 'Shop For A Cause' program, we are giving people a simple way to help out these very deserving organizations," said Anne Dowd, owner of Refind Home. "We're hoping this program will raise awareness and money for organizations that serve our community, and it makes it especially great that we are doing so while supporting local manufacturers and artists."
