Local pride

Refiners Pride, now officially known a s Refiners Citgo at 7323 Randolph St., goes back to at least the 1930's.
Through the 1950's, 60's and 70's, Refiner's Pride sponsored basketball teams, softabll teams, little leagues, wrestling and football. This photo from the early days shows the Little Store, which was a popular place to purchase milk, eggs, cold cuts, bacon and bread.
