Grand Opening Party at the Library

The Forest Park Library is ready to party! Join the celebration of the reopening of the library and its new renovated spaces. Tours, treats, tech demos, maker activities, prizes and more will be part of the fun at this all-ages party on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. at 7555 Jackson Blvd.


Young Adult Lounge Premier at the Library

Teens are invited to a special after-hours preview of the library's brand-new young adult lounge! Dress to be paparazzi ready and enjoy music, treats and a special craft. Friday, Feb. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 7555 Jackson Blvd.

Senior Movie

Senior citizens are invited to the Howard Mohr Community Center, 7640 Jackson Blvd., for a movie on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. For more senior events, visit

Story Times at the Library

Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m. Hello, Amigos! Bilingual Storytime. Ages 5 and under are welcome. Thursday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. Merry Math Makers Storytime. Perfect for ages 2 to 5. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 9:30 a.m. Babybugs Lapsit Storytime. Geared for babies and young toddlers. Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 10:30 a.m. Mother Goose Movers Toddler Storytime. Great for ages 2 to 4 at 7555 Jackson Blvd.


Musical Potluck at the Priory

The public is invited to a free admission, all ages acoustic jam singalong and potluck at the Dominical Priory Campus Auditorium, 7200 Division St. in River Forest, on Sunday Feb. 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. Bring your instruments and an appetizer or dessert to share. 208th Birthday

Join Chicago Dickens Fellowship at Centuries & Sleuths, 7419 Madison St., on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. to discuss the first 17 chapters of Oliver Twist in celebration of Dickens' 208th birthday.
