Back in the the early days of the Mainstreet Redevelopment Association, Famous Liquors, was located practically at Circle/ Madison, 7339 Madison to be exact. At that time Mayor Lorraine Popelka proposed a plan to relocate the liquor store to its present day location at 7714 Madison, using tax incentives to help foster the move.
