Kiwanis Raises Money and Honors Our Best
Two of the highlights of the Kiwanis Club year are fast approaaching.
The last weekend in September we will conduct our annual peanut sale, the flagship fundraiser for Kiwanis Clubs across the country. Watch for our "salespeople" around town..at important intersections and places where people gather. They'll be in brightly colored vests, and have bags of peanuts to offer for any donation you would like to make. We do th is every year, and it's the backbone of our fundraising, so please be generous.
October 29th we will hold ur annual Ed O'Shea Awards Dinner. Long timers in town know that Ed was a friend to youth, giving unstintingly of his time and efforts to help kids in Forest Park. The Ed O'Shea Award honors a person in town who has given of him or herself in the same way Ed did, and highlights the iportance of providing wholesome programs and activities for our young people. All are welcome to attend, so watch for more details and an opportunity to buy tickets!
