Loraine Lauer, age 92, a longtime resident of Forest Park, died Jan. 1. She was born Aug. 4, 1920. Loraine was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Hilda Lauer and sister Betty Jane (Alfred) Slipek.
Loraine was the aunt of Lory LaPlant and Marty (Barb) Slipek. She was a cherished family member and dear friend of many. Loraine retired from the Chicago Tribune and was a long time member of First United Church of Christ Church of Forest Park.
Services have been held. Funeral arrangements were handled by Hursen Funeral Home Westchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Church of Christ of Forest Park, roof fund.
