Forest Park Cub Scout Pack 109 held their annual Pinewood Derby on Jan. 25 at the Howard Mohr Community Center. The pack is sponsored by the local Kiwanis Club, who supports the derby and other events through the year.

First place this year went to Alex Kouimelis, second to Elis Murray and third to Jason Snyder.

Special awards were also presented. Henry DePriest was honored for having the funniest car, while Eleanor Herlihy won the best craftsmanship award. Zakari Rubio and Jamari Wood tied in the coolest design category, and Audi DePriest showed the most scout pride. Kids' Choice was given to Dylan Kernkamp and Jeremiah Manzanares.
