My wife and I would like to thank all of the officers that were involved with helping us at our 2-flat residence in Forest Park. The 1st floor unit has been an ongoing problem since June 1st of this year and did not come to a resolution until October 1st 2018. We can’t count how many times the police department responded.

The situation was extremely difficult for my wife and I over the last several months. One of the officers involved was worried that my wife was going to have a nervous breakdown after one of the many incidents at our residence. He actually wanted to call an ambulance for her because of how concerned he was for her health and well-being.

I’m sure the police department has much more serious calls to handle, however they responded to every call that was reported and handled each one professionally and courteously. We have never been in a situation like this before and honestly weren’t quite sure to handle it. The police department very clearly explained what the law is regarding tenant disputes and what rights we have as landlords.

We have never been so proud to be a member of this community and it’s great to know that the police department will always be there in a time of need. We were both raised here in Forest Park and in our opinion the Village has never looked any better than now. Madison Street is thriving and we love all of the events the community has to offer throughout the year as well as the great local restaurants.

I would like to personally thank Mayor Anthony Calderone, Lieutenant Steve Zanoni, Deputy Chief Mike Keating and Detective Mike O’Connor for what I consider going above and beyond the normal call of duty to help us resolve this very complicated situation.

Lastly, all of our neighbors appreciated the Forest Park Police Departments quick response to all of our calls and also implementing extra patrols on our block over the last several months. I truly hope all of the residents realize the excellent service they provide, Mayor Anthony Calderone personally took charge of the situation and I can’t thank him and the police department enough.
