A man remains hospitalized and in fair condition after being shot four times during an altercation in the Constitution Court parking lot in the 7400 block of Madison Street in the early morning hours of Oct. 21, according to Forest Park police.

Few details are being released at this time, because the incident, which took place between 2 and 3 a.m., is still being investigated. No one is in custody for the shooting at this time.

According to Deputy Police Chief Michael Keating, the shooting followed an earlier altercation between two men inside a Madison Street tavern. The altercation continued outside in the parking lot.

A friend drove the shooting victim to the hospital where he underwent surgery to remove a bullet from his body, Keating said.

"I didn't see them take anyone's statement the whole night" just means you didn't see it happen. I'll betcha they took a whole bunch of statements. You think they didn't ask anyone anything? ;)

I was there. I seen what happened after the shots rang out from a nearby window. What appeared to be the victim was by the fountain with his friends and said he thought his leg was broke then they all got him into a gold suv and drove off. cops came right after they left and taped off the whole place. I didn't see them take anyone's statement the whole night when there was a dozen witnesses. They haven't caught the perp either! What the heck are they being paid for?
