Buford “Slim” Lowe, 82, a long time Forest Park resident, died Oct. 3, 2013. He was born Sept. 3, 1931. He was a proud member of Carpenter’s Union Local #839 for 58 years. He was husband of Marilyn (nee Rasmussen), father of Ron Lowe, Cathy (Jim) Karas and Mike (Nancy O’Brien) Lowe. He was grandfather of Nicole (Rick) Happ, Michelle Karas, Daniel Karas and Rebecca Lowe, brother of Vernon (Mary Lou), late Duane (Audrey), late Ivan, late Calvin, late Kenneth, late Darrell Lowe and the late Laveda Kessler and late Dorothy Yarbrough.
Services were held Monday at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home in Naperville with interment at Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake. Gifts to the American Cancer Society in Slim’s name are appreciated.
