Gerald V. Decosola, 84, retired bricklayer

Gerald V. Decosola, age 84 of North Riverside, formerly of Forest Park, died Nov. 28. He was born Sept. 23, 1928 in Chicago and served in the U.S. Army. Gerald retired from the bricklayer trade.

He was husband of the late Janice M. (nee Sheldon), father of Michael (Priscilla), Matt (Janice), the late Rose Marie and the late Joseph. He was grandfather of Sonny (Marissa), Gino, Rachel, Joey, Hannah, Matthew and Michael and great-grandfather of Scarlett. He was brother of the late Ron (Millie) Decosola, uncle of Vicki, Ron, Steve and the late Linda.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 8th, 12:00 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church 250 Woodside Road (Corner of 31st Street and DesPlaines Ave.) Riverside. Funeral arrangements handled by Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home. Funeral Info: 708-447-2500 or
