The village of Forest Park announced it has reopened Reiger Park (Circle Avenue and 16th Street) and Veterans Park (Circle Avenue and Lehmer Street), two of the village-owned pocket parks around town. The remainder of the parks, said the village, should open within the next several days.

Park-goers are reminded that Phase 4 state guidelines of no more than 50 people in one place at one time apply to each playground. Visitors are asked to practice social distancing and to use masks when necessary.

Additionally, the village will not be cleaning or disinfecting outdoor exercise equipment, playgrounds, picnic tables, benches, garbage cans, water fountains or other frequently touched surfaces.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should not use the playgrounds.
