Bill Gilchrist helped me rescue an injured bird last week. I took the bird to Trailside to have its injury treated and was told they no longer minister to sparrows, squirrels, raccoons, rabbits and lots of other wildlife. Let Mother Nature take care of ’em. They’ll put the animals down, but will not care for them. So I brought the little guy back home, put him in a cat carrier with the door open and about an hour later he was gone, I think (hope) his parents found him.
Congratulations to Walther sophomores Amanda Gehrke, a graduate of Forest Park Middle School; Katherine Hemmann, Saint John’s, and Michael Hemmann, also Saint John’s, who were inducted into the National Honor Society on March 17, 2005.
