March is Women’s History Month, and Forest Park Public Library will join in observing this important occasion. Be sure to watch for our displays in the main entryway to the library and next to the Youth Services Department on the lower level that will honor the contributions of women to our society. In addition, the Youth Services Department will host a dramatization of the life of Harriet Tubman at 4 PM on Wednesday, March 15. Come join us for this educational and entertaining presentation.
Other library events in March include:
The March Family Movie Afternoon will be on Sunday, March 19, at 2 PM. Please join us to watch “March of the Penguins,” an unforgettable true story.
The library is also a polling place, and the Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 21. The polls open at 6 AM.
Don’t forget that we now have Wireless Internet Access. Just bring your laptop to the library, and come see us at the Reference Desk for simple instructions on how to get started.
And finally, we have limited stocks of basic federal and state tax forms and instructions. If you don’t find what you want, we should be able to help you access the appropriate websites, and print forms you need for only ten cents per page.
As always, we welcome you to come visit us at your library!
