Congratulations to Meghan Krieger who graduates Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University this week. Meghan will take a little time off after her years of hard work. The future is still to be decided. This bright young lady is a product of our Forest Park Public Schools and Fenwick High School.
Terry Mefley had a very exciting day last Wednesday when she took the seniors on their Wednesday field trip. Terry and the seniors went to Rockford, Illinois to the Machine Shop and the restored Coronado Theatre, where they thoroughly enjoyed the “Senior Follies,” a lively production featuring all senior talent. The travelers loved Terry and the show. Bev Thompson and Lou were doing field work investigation in Las Vegas.
The folks on the trip missed Alice Zimmerman who was busy recovering back here in town.
Belated congratulations to the Review’s and Wednesday Journal’s Bill Dwyer, recipient of the prestigious Lisagor Award. A well deserved honor. Carol and Bill’s many friends are delighted.
As we bid farewell to Debbie King we wish Andrea Blaylock a successful term as president of the ailing Library Board. Let’s hope fresh leadership will help restore our beautiful library to its former glory. May director Rodger Brayden and the board work together in a cooperative spirit. Good luck to the library and to all of us. The library is the most important institution in the community (Along with the local newspaper).
Congratulations to all the winners of Main Street’s PRIDE awards last week. Peggy and her husband Tim Grams have worked hard for this honor. Their dog is so excited he’s been spinning around in circles ever since it happened.
