George J. Andrews, Jr., 87, World War II veteran
George J. Andrews, Jr., 87, died on May 16, 2007, at Hines VA Hospital. He was born on Oct. 11, 1919, and was a lifetime resident of Forest Park.
Andrews served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by three sons, Michael, Richard and William Andrews; four grandchildren, Patrick, Michael, Sharon and Ronald; two great-grandchildren and two brothers, Richard and Donald Andrews. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Hawkins) Andrews; his parents, George Sr. and Elsie (Brumn) Andrews, and his brother, Robert.
Visitation and funeral services were held in Forest Park. Andrews’ body was donated for the purpose of medical science, in accordance with his wishes.
