Doris Johanna Sayre, 81, Local hair stylist
Doris Johanna Sayre, 81, of Plainfield, died at her home on Aug. 28, 2007. She was born Oct. 3, 1925 in Melrose Park and is a former resident of Elmhurst.
Sayre worked as a beautician and owned Hair Styles by Doris in Forest Park.
She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Thomas; five grandchildren, Kim, Mark, Jeff, Debbie and Traci; and five great-grandchildren, Crystal, Jessica, Alexis, Brent Jr. and Daniel.
Sayre was predeceased by her daughter, Sally Schutzner.
Funeral services were directed by the Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Road, Elmhurst, Ill., 60126. A private interment service will be held.
