In a match up of offensive powerhouses, Trage Bros. pulled out a squeaker. Frankie Mott and Josh Alvarado homered, as James Hobson and Jake Gordon scored four times each. Brandon Picket also had three hits, as did Sam Shorner. Brown Cow came close to matching Trage as Nick Garlisch, Quinlan Doolin and Isaiah Fuller hit homeruns. Josh Hill and Zayd Muhammed also played solid games with three hits apiece.

The close games in the Rookie division continued Saturday morning. Trage Bros. took an early lead behind the hitting of Mikael O’Neill, James Hobson, and Reggie Loury. However, that was soon erased as Spotless played stellar defense, turning four double plays, and with solid hitting by Sherman Martin, Jeremiah Canada, and Malik Cardine.

Forest Park Stucco defeated Ed’s Way in a come back from behind victory in the last inning with two outs. Stucco was down 8-3 going into the bottom of the sixth. A two-run homerun tied the game and Malik Lemon had the game winning hit with an RBI double.

A convincing victory against Westchester five innings was helped by a great pitching performance by Brian Powers, who went all five innings for the win.

Friday, May 9 brought Forest Park #1 against Forest Park # 2 in Hillside under the lights. FP #2 triumphed by a score of 4-3 in a seven inning battle with great pitching performances by Connor Hudson and Danny Barron. Big hits of the night included Danny Barron’s first inning RBI triple and a seventh inning RBI double.
